"In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different"
Coco Chanel
From The Notebook. Possibly the most romantic films I have ever seen and the one that made me look like a ghoul afterwards as my liquid eyeliner has run all down my face.
This is one of my favourite parts.
Noah: Will you go out with me?
Allie: What? No.
N: No...?
A: No.
N: Why not?
A: I dunno, because I don't want to.
N: OK, then you leave me no other choice.
A: AHHHH
N: I'm gonna ask you one more time, will you or will you not go out with me? I think my hand's slipping.
A: OK, OK. Fine I'll go out with you
N:No, don't do me any favors.
A: No, no I want to.
N: Say it.
A: I wanna go out with you.
N: Say it again.
A: I WANNA GO OUT WITH YOU!
N: All right, all right we'll go out.
Other quotes:
"Summer romances begin for all kinds of reasons, but when all is said and done, they have one thing in common. They're shooting stars, a spectacular moment of light in the heavens, fleeting glimpse of eternity, and in a flash they're gone"

"They didn't agree on much, infacet they rarely agreed on everything. The fought all the time, and they challenged each other everday, but despite their differences. They had one important thing in common they were crazy about each other"
"This is not about keeping your promise, and it's not about following your heart- it's about security"
Confused? Watch the film!
Happy Valentine's Day! xx
With Valentine's day just around the corner I suddenly feel very alone in a world where romance surrounds and intoxicates almost every aspect of my life. I am naturally a very sensitive and romantic person and to feel almost unwanted is not exactly a fun feeling. Sometimes I find myself sitting at home feeling awful and wishing I could have someone to hold me close and tell me everything was going to be OK. And I would believe them. I would love them so deeply and tenderly that I would believe everything they said whereas with others I can just see right through their attempts at reassurance and comfort. No matter how hard they try to convince me to pay attention to this or not do that I would not be listening. I would be in my own world dreaming pathetically of who could persuade me into such things.
Sitting down in chemistry I smile at the boy next to me, we will call him H C, who offers me a sweet and when his friend asks for one he says no, which makes me laugh. Obviously he has come to the realisation that any arguments from these two boys on my chemistry table send me into fits of giggles at times. They rip each others jotter and scribble rude words on the other ones folders which is obviously very immature but it does make me laugh so hard. So, H C asks me about my day and tells me about how his class threw snow balls off the first years in gym which makes me laugh even harder. My stomach is starting to hurt at this point and I manage to contain myself enough to write the notes and keep my dignity, but only just. After class my friend asks me about the lesson and I told her about the H C's sweet giving and our conversations. She gives me a look I have seen many times before and she says one word.
'Lust'
What has that got to do with anything?!?
With the recent and not very appealing events that have invaded my some what peaceful life, I have been feeling rather miserable and shit about myself. I should have been happy in town today because I have been accepted as one of the few to do an upcoming dance exam, but I felt consumed my the growing feeling of rejection and despair. My second viewing of
Twilight should have been a lot more enjoyable but I could not stop thinking about the balloon of guilt and embarrassment that was growing in the pit of my stomach. So I have decided to follow the advice of
Camilla and write down all of my favourite things to improve my mood.
TV. I watch so much it must be unhealthy. My favourite shows are Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Heroes, Robin Hood, Merlin, Demons and probably a lot more but I can't think of them right now.
Musicals. I love the musicals that everyone hates. The cheesier the music the better! I have been to see Wicked, Footloose, Cats and Miss Bollywood that had Shilpa Shetty in it! I am also a fan of Chicago, Oliver and Blood Brothers though I am yet to see them.
Food. I feel so sorry for everyone out there who can't eat. Especially those who are less fortunate than I and have to go for days with out anything. But this is to those who don't want to eat. You don't know what you are missing out on. I am so addicted to sushi, ravioli pasta with mushrooms, ham and cheese toasted bagels with salsa, chicken fajitas with mozzarella, peppers and hummus toasted and those really big muffins in the John Lewis cafe.
Music. What would I do without you oh faithful iPod who has survived being dropped, lost and going through the washing machine. Music is practically my life. I so in love with Kings of Leon (!!!!), Radiohead, Muse, The Feeling, Mark Ronson, Manic Street Preachers, Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian. I'm sure I have written all this down before but who cares.
Dancing. Sometimes with me, dancing is a crime. I must look like such a prat/freak/total arse but I love it anyway. I have been dancing since I was four and have loved every moment of it. Ballet is my favourite and I am getting points soon, the shoes with the blocks at the bottom. Very sore! I'm going to see the Russian ballet perform Swan Lake with my friend soon which should be ace! We always get ice cream at break =)
I feel quite a bit better now, thnk you so jch Camilla, you are a star! Sorry for the very uninteresting posts right now as everything has been all doom and gloom but things are starting to perk up slightly so I should be happy once again by next week. Have a brilliant rest of the weekend! xx
